"I am the Lord, and there is none else; there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me. That they may know from the rising of the sun and from the west that there in none beside me...Look unto me and be ye saved, all ye ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else" (Ish. 45:5-6, 22).
FOHIM is a Bible believing faith based organization which is based solely on the infallible (flawless, perfect, and reliable) Word of God. We believe in propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations, people, and languages of the world (Mark. 16 vs. 15). We believe that there is only one God who manifested Himself to mankind in creation and history as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ, and salvation of the lost is essential through the regeneration of the Holy Spirit and rebirth in Jesus' name.
The Godhead consists of one God who distinctly reveals Himself in three distinguish roles: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This same God robed Himself in flesh and dwelt among men as Jesus Christ, who is the begotten Son, Father of Creation, and Holy Spirit the Comforter (1Jn.1: 1-3; Matt. 1: 20-23; Jn. 14: 6-10, 26).
Adam and Eve’s sin in the Garden of Eden putted a separation between God and man. This fall from grace put human beings in the position of needing forgiveness to restore them in fellowship with God. Therefore, God sent His son, Jesus Christ, into the world to take the sin of mankind upon Himself, as the Lamb of God. Accordingly, Jesus was crucified as the Lamb of God, redeeming mankind to Him, so none would perish but that all should gain eternal life through faith in Him. Salvation does not come through human’s effort, but it is the free gift of God’s grace in Jesus Christ.
Jesus destroyed all the works of Satan when He died for man’s sin on the cross. However, Satan is allowed to continue to rule in the earth for a time and a season, and until his season is up, he will lead many down the path of destruction and damnation, blinding those who do not believe. As such, Satan and his fallen angels are constantly warring against the believers who must be aware of the spiritual warfare and who must take a firm stand on Biblical truth and the power of the Holy Spirit to conquer these spiritual oppositions.
FOHIM advocates for the sanctification and unification of the family as a unit in order to stop the disintegration (tearing down) of the norms of family values within a communal (society). We are committed to the rebuilding of strong family systems (as God originally intended) and promoting Godly values to enhance the mobilization of members within the family unit. We reinforce traditional values in families that promote family bonds/closeness and nurture healthy communication among family members according to Biblical truths regarding the institution of marriage and the family system. We uphold Biblical principles that govern the mandates for marital union between one man and one woman (Gen. 2:24; Matt. 19: 4-9; Eph. 5: 22-25; Lev. 14:29; Ps. 127: 3; James 1:27; Num. 27: 6-11; Lev. 25: 47-49; Acts. 10: 11-14; 16: 21-32).
The plan of salvation is in Jesus Christ. Christ ordained the observation of water baptism (Matt. 28:19; Luke16:15-18; John 3: 5-8; Acts 2:38-39; & Acts 4:10-12) as an acknowledgement of Him. Through the living Word of God, man can become born again through the Holy Spirit and baptism by emersion in His name and be separated from this sinful world, through faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ, unto God.
The spiritual unity of the believers must abide under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and believers must maintain an authentic relationship with Him in order to worship God in Spirit and Truth. Christian believers must also fellowship consistently with other like-minded believers in the body of Christ and must be under the proper spiritual covering of a pastor at a local church in order to abide under the covering of their Master, Jesus Christ, who is the head of the Church.
The declaration of one’s faith stands solely on the Holy Bible which is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and written revelation Word of God which God had given to men under the inspiration and anointing of the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is the final and supreme authority in all matters concerning life, whether or not one chooses to acknowledge, to accept, or to believe it.
Plan of Salvation
Basic Scriptures
"Come now and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be as red like crimson, they shall be wool" (Ish. 1:18, KJV).
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The might God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace" (Ish. 9:6).
"He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed" (Ish. 53:5).
"...Fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall brings forth a Son, and thou shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sin...And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us" (Matt. 1: 20 -23).
"Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" (Matt. 28:19).
"Thus, it is written, and thus it beloved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem" (Luke 24:46-47).
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth..For of his fullness have all we received and grace for grace...But grace and truth came by Jesus Christ" (Jn. 1:1, 14, 16-17).
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (Jn. 3:16-18).
"If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, you shall be free indeed" (Jn. 8:36).
"Thomas said unto him, Lord, we don't know where you are going, and how can we know the way? Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him. Phillip said, Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us. Jesus answered, Don't you know me, Phillip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seemed me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father?" (Jn. 14:5-9, NIV).
"Peter replied, repent and be baptized every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will call" (Acts 2:38-39).
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
"When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them. When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus" (Acts 8:14-16).
"While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit and had been poured out even on the Gentiles: For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said, Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have. So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ" (Acts 10: 44-48).
The Invitation
Each of us has a hole in our heart, a hollowness which is a vacuum deep within our soul that possessions, success, relationships, and nothing will fill. Not even religion can fill the void in your heart. There is only one way to fill that void--accept Jesus Christ as Your Savior today.
Follow these simple steps:
1. Acknowledge in your heart that you need Jesus to be your Lord and Savior.
2. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.
3. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and was raised three days later.
4. Repent of your sins and be baptized in His name, and alow the Holy Spirit to become your teacher in all things.
Prayer of Repentance
The Prayer of Repentance is not a ritual based on specific words. This is not the power of a prayer, but the power of truly committing your life to Jesus Christ, as Savior and Lord of your life. The following is merely a guideline for your sincere step of faith:
"God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus' precious and holy name. Amen."
If after praying this simple prayer, you believe that Jesus has come into your heart; He really has. Now you and God have begun a brand new relationship.
